CNN to Go All HD In Spring
TVPredictions.com
Washington, D.C. (March 15, 2010) -- CNN this spring will begin broadcasting 24 hours a day in High-Definition, Multichannel News reports.
The news network launched a high-def channel more than two years ago, but the transition to actually producing shows in HD has been slow. Initially, only programming from CNN's New York studios was in HD, which represented three primetime shows.
The Washington studio switched to high-def about a year ago, expanding the HD coverage. And later this spring, Multichannel News writes, CNN's Atlanta studios, where the network's daytime shows originate, will go high-def.
That means that shows such as Rick's List, CNN Newsroom, CNN Sunday Morning and Sanjay Gupta MD will be available in HD.
Multichannel News reports that CNN's domestic field reports will also be in HD.
